Utopia of Non-Conformity
Utopia of Non-Conformity explores the social conditions and relations within and without society. During the years 2012-2015, it visited over 200 different places, towns, and cities in 16 countries. Keeping an itinerant practice as a method, it moved through 168 different housing situations – changing housing 186 times. The project analyses variations in ideas regarding community and society, and social organization in terms of logistics, financial, social/political structures, and the individual's access to socially dependent and immaterial resources. The project included a study of Burning Man, Nevada, focused on social organization and internalization of social values in a non-monetary society.
